FAMILY LIFE

The English culture is so different from the Spanish culture. Everybody wakes up early, in the mornings they have a cup of coffee or cereals and before going to work or school they prepare lunch, it consists in a sandwich, juice, chips, chocolate and a piece of fruit, “ not very healthy ”.

In the afternoons anybody stays at home because they are working or studying and they see each other in the evenings, they have dinner (dinners consist in hot food) and they watch TV for some time and they go to bed very early, “they don’t make profit from the day”!

When we stayed with us “English families” they were so charmed with us during the exchange that we never had any problem with their customs because we adapted us-self.

At the weekend they prepared the typical English breakfast for us, it consists in eggs, beans, bacon and sausages and then they got us out. We used to go to Birmingham and they showed us the canals, it’s the place where the people go out at nights. We saw an art gallery and a big theatre inside the ICC (International Conference Centre).

The last night we stayed in England, they got some of us to have dinner to an Italian restaurant.

The family was so lovely with us.
