INDUSTRIAL VISITS

Merry Hill

Merry Hill is one of the most successful shopping centres in the region with over 200 stores, including the Midlands largest Marks & Spencer homeware, Debenhams, H & M, New Look and Early Learning Centre. We had the chance of visiting Merry Hill with a special tour guide who showed us Merry Hill’s back-scene: all the different services, installations, equipments, and plants which are not shown to the public.
We stayed all day there shopping and looking around.

British Travel Trade Fair 2004

British Travel Trade Fair 2004 was held at Birmingham’s NEC. More than 2700 travel and tourism professionals turned out to the BTTF exhibiting at the show, which we thought was a great commercial opportunity and one of the best ways to make contact with their marketplace.
Our visit at the BTTF was quite short but interesting. We took several brochures of many stands which helped us in projects held back in our Spanish College. And at last but not at least, we took the chance of tasting the gastronomy of many British regions.

Cadbury World

Cadbury World in the centre of Bourneville (Birmingham) was one of our most exciting visits. Its success is primarily due to the facilities and attractions, which made the visit much value.
During our visit we learned many things: how chocolate was made, the chocolate history, the Cadbury history…The visit consisted in a tour round the fabric to learn the different steps Cadbury chocolate goes through. At the end of our tour they offered us a taste of the chocolate which had just been made.
We noticed that there were many attractions and games for children, which makes this fabric suitable for all ages.
